Helping Doreen's Home Bakery Share Their Tradition and Creativity Online
Doreen's Home Bakery is a family-run bakery in Athboy, Co. Meath. They are known for fresh breads, pastries, and beautiful celebration cakes. Sylvia needed a website that felt as warm as her bakery. It also needed to show off her photography, take online orders, and help new customers find her locally.
Goal:
To build a warm, easy-to-use website for Doreen's Home Bakery. The site needed to show their full range of baked goods. It also needed to support online cake orders and help customers in Meath find them through Google.
Approach:
We built a clean, traditional layout with plenty of space for photography. The site links to their Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. It includes a custom cake builder where customers can choose size, flavour, filling, and decorations before ordering.
Result:
A fast, accessible bakery website that supports walk-in customers, seasonal offers, and online cake orders all year round.
The Client
Doreen's Home Bakery is run by Sylvia. She bakes fresh breads and pastries every day. She also makes seasonal treats and custom celebration cakes. The bakery has a loyal following in Athboy and across Co. Meath. Customers love it for its quality, warmth, and tradition.The Challenge
The bakery was well known locally. But there was no website that matched the quality of the work. Sylvia needed a site that felt true to her brand. It also needed to make custom cake ordering simple. And it needed to help new customers find her through search and social media.Our Approach
1. Warm, Traditional DesignWe kept the layout clean and friendly. It has a traditional feel with a modern touch. It is easy to use on mobile and desktop.
2. Photography First
The cakes are the star. We gave the photos lots of space. Customers can see the quality straight away.
3. Custom Cake Builder
We built a cake builder in WooCommerce. Customers pick their size, flavour, filling, and decorations. Then they place their order. It saves Sylvia time and makes ordering fun for customers.
4. Social Media Links
The site connects to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Customers can follow along for new products and seasonal deals.
5. Training Videos
We recorded short videos to show Sylvia how to update the site. She can add products, change prices, and manage seasonal offers on her own.
The Design Solution
The final website is warm and easy to use. The shop guides customers from browsing to checkout with ease. We added full SEO and business schema. This helps the bakery show up when people search for custom cakes or fresh breads in Athboy and Co. Meath.The Outcome
