A Vibrant Festival Website for a Spectacular New Event in the Heart of Trim

King John Summer Prom is an orchestral music festival based in Trim, Co. Meath. Eric organised a remarkable debut in 2025 — featuring Mel Gibson, a 65-piece orchestra, and three nights of unforgettable performances. The website needed to capture that energy, sell tickets, and bring audiences back for 2026.

Goal:
To build a clean, engaging festival website that promoted a brand new orchestral event in Trim. The site needed to attract audiences, sell tickets, draw in sponsors and artists, and showcase each performer with individual bios and updates as the festival grew.

Approach:
We built a media-rich, scrollable festival site with a live countdown to the event, prominent ticket CTAs, performer bios, a photo gallery, and video embeds. The design is bold and engaging but keeps focus on the key actions — find out what is on, see who is performing, buy tickets.

Result:
A modern, engaging festival website that supported the debut year of King John Summer Prom — and has since been updated to promote the 2026 festival at its new Trim Castle Hotel location. Tickets are on sale and the show is growing.

The Client

King John Summer Prom is organised by Eric, a passionate promoter with a vision for bringing world-class orchestral music to Trim, Co. Meath. The debut 2025 festival was Braveheart-themed, bringing Mel Gibson and cast members back to Trim — where the film was shot — for three nights of orchestral performances. The event raised €10,000 for Actors Equity Ireland and earned five standing ovations for its Ireland in Song show. The 2026 festival returns to Trim Castle Hotel with the full Irish Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

The Challenge

The festival was entirely new in its first year. The website had to build excitement and credibility before anyone had experienced the event. It needed to attract audiences, funding bodies, and artists — all at once. The site also needed to be updated easily as the lineup evolved and the 2026 dates were confirmed.

Our Approach

1. Bold, Engaging Design The design captures the energy of a live orchestral event — dramatic, exciting, and easy to navigate. It draws visitors in and keeps focus on the key actions.

2. Live Countdown Timer A countdown to the festival date creates urgency and excitement for visitors arriving before the event.

3. Ticket Integration The site connects to an external ticketing platform. Ticket CTAs are prominent throughout so visitors can buy at any point in their journey.

4. Performer Bios and Line-up Pages Each performer gets their own bio and feature. This adds depth and helps audiences connect with the artists before the show.

5. Photo and Video Gallery Event photos from 2025 and promo video content are embedded throughout. Rich media keeps visitors engaged and builds excitement for returning attendees.

6. Blog and Updates Eric and the team can post updates about the line-up, ticket releases, and news as the festival develops each year.

The Design Solution

The finished website is bold, media-rich, and easy to navigate. The countdown, ticket links, and lineup details are all prominent from the first scroll. Performer bios give the festival depth and personality. The photo gallery from 2025 builds credibility and excitement for 2026. The site has been updated to reflect the new venue and dates and is actively selling tickets.

The Outcome

King John Summer Prom has a website that has grown with the festival. It supported a remarkable debut year — with Mel Gibson, a 65-piece orchestra, and three sold-out nights in Trim. The 2026 festival is already on sale. The site continues to attract audiences, artists, and sponsors to what is becoming one of Meath's most exciting annual events.

We built a vibrant, media-rich website to match the scale of the event. It includes a live countdown timer, performer bios, a photo gallery, video content, and prominent ticket links throughout.

The site was updated for 2026 — the festival moves to Trim Castle Hotel with the full Irish Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for three nights of Ireland in Song. Tickets are on sale now.
